I've always been a very ambitious person. From a very young age. I
would just lay in my bed and fantasize about my life and what I would be and
what I would accomplish. That has never let me. There is a thrill of putting the pen to the paper and mapping out
where I am going. Now, I am not someone that puts my life on a timeline but I
have ballpark expectations of where I should be by when. As right now, I am a
graduate student that is enlisted in the U.S. Army. It makes me feel empowered
and a little intimidated to be one of the
few people among my peers pursuing a graduate degree. In the midst of that, I
am currently doing a virtual internship to gain valuable and relevant work experience for when I exit the
service. I also have to accept that all my time is borrowed time and I've set a
goal to enjoy my life as much as possible. I want to have as much joy as
possible. I want to find fulfillment and
peace in all that I do. So, now I'm in search of many hobbies. Being that I am
in the Army, we work out all the time. My personal hobby is to work out which
would be difficult to believe since I struggle with physical training at work.
I've also elected to learn how to swim, it's a joy.
Overall, I'm just a young woman trying to
find my way and ultimately myself.
So right now, if I could summarize myself
I am
A 25-year-old
black woman with liberal beliefs in terms social, religious and political
views. I currently leisurely attend a Unitarian Universalist church. I have a
strong desire to understand more about the religion of Buddhism if I can
remember to dedicate time to it. I am going to
school to obtain masters in Business Psychology and I will likely end up
somewhere in the world of Human Resources or consulting, I am trying to find
some hobbies and right I'm trying blogging. I also am into reading,
learning how to swim, Crossfit, surfing the web, binging on Hulu/Netflix and a health enthusiast. I want to relearn
Haitian Creole, I want to do a little more Crossfit, dedicate more time to the
mastery of Yoga and I want to get into cycling. I've always signed up to learn
to ride a motorcycle and I really want to get into Combatives. I am, however, willing to embark on any martial
arts method or even boxing. I've been looking up community events and I want to
dedicate at least 1-2 weeks to really partaking
in as many activities as possible! I also
am obsessed with fashion, hair care and makeup and I spend hours to researching the new
trends. I also want to get into hosting house events or dinner parties because
I feel like I want to be more grown and sophisticated. In terms of my career in
the Army, I want to get out. I really dislike being in the service although
I've grown a love and respect for the military. I want to get out with masters and at least three internships and grow
to be a more competent and efficient worker and the person to be around.
LOL, I am all over the place. I really
needed to get that out.
